Toyota Motor Manufacturing Plant

Toyota plant in Apaseo el Grande Guanajuato started operations in 2019 . This facility currently produces the truck Tacoma Toyota for the North American market. The plant has the capacity to produce 100,000 vehicles per year and employs 1,000 people.

The majority of the production from Guanajuato will be exported to the US on short-sea routes through the ports of Veracruz on the east coast and Lázaro Cárdenas on the west. The remaining volume to the US will be shipped via rail through the border town of Laredo in Texas. All vehicles for the domestic market are being delivered by truck. Bosch Manufacturing Plant

The German multinational engineering and electronics company Robert Bosch GmbH has built a new plant in Apaseo el Grande, near Celaya City. The 236,806 sq ft (22,000 m2) factory is to be built on 775,001 sq ft (72,000 m2) of land, giving the firm space for future expansion.

In addition, the plan is to build a logistics center for Mexico on the adjacent property, which will also serve as a warehouse for the new plant. Celaya follows Ciudad Juarez as home to the second plant of the Automotive Electronics division in Mexico.

In total, the Bosch Group employs around 16,000 associates and is active with all four of its business divisions in Mexico. The center of Mexico has become highly industrialized in recent years, driven mainly by the automotive industry.
